Youth Academy |
|
The youth academy is designed to develop young aspiring soccer players in the areas of technique (skills), tactics (decision making), physical fitness, and sports psychology. The youth academy will be run by former professional player Bryan Monka with the intent of teaching skill, creativity, and decision making in a fun, competitive environment where winning is encouraged but is not the sole focus. The students will train on Fridays and play games at the end of the session.
Ages 5-7 The focus with this group will be on simple technical skills. The skills will be learned through fun games and repetition. One versus one play will be encouraged at these ages.
Ages 8-10 The focus of this group will be on technical skills with simple tactics. The skills and tactics will be learned from fun games, repetition and small sided games. One versus one and two versus two play will be encouraged at these ages.
Ages 11-13 The focus of this group will be advanced technical skills, simple fitness, and small group tactics. The skills and tactics will be learned from competitive small sided exercises, repetition, and competitive small sided games. |
